Energy

One of the main trends today is the use of alternative energy with environmentally acceptable solutions.
AF Institute is invalved with following projects in this area :

WIND ENERGY:

Wind energy is more and more used and represents an increasingly large share of the electricity market; consequently the number of wind farms is also on the rise. Planning and construction of a wind farm demands calculations of a wind turbine, determination of the efficiency, quantity of electricity that can be produced, when the return on investment can be expected –  our Institute provides answers to all those questions.

More and more studies show that investments in wind farms prove to be economical and present a profitable business opportunity as well as a contribution to a greener use of natural sources with fewer environmental impacts.

CONSTRUCTION OF HYDRO-ELECTRIC PLANTS:

Small hydro-electric plant is an electric plant which uses mechanical power of water to produce electricity and has low nominal output. Within the European Union: there is still no general consensus regarding the maximum installed power at which power plant is still considered a small hydro-electric plant. European Commission on the other hand confirmed 10 MW of installed power as the limit for small hydro-electric plants. (ESHA, 2004).

All methods of generating electricity from water power are highly dependent on location of waterworks. Small hydro-electric plants are constructed on smaller rivers that have enough water for their operation; often they are build on existing old mill-channels which were used to propel the mills, tags or similar and were used to provide sufficient hydraulic fall at the turbine to ensure proper operation of these small hydro-electric power plants.

To this end we provide:

CONSTRUCTION OF SOLAR POWER STATION:

Solar power is the most prospective form of eco friendly energy. EU’s vision for photovoltaic energy envisions 200 GW ofproduction facilities in EU by the year 2030, which shall present 4 percent of  world’s energy production. The predictions state that by year 2050 the percentage of photovoltaic energy in EU shall be around 20 percent of whole production.
